Petal Dress

Alright kind blog readers, all 4 of you. I need some constructive criticism or complements.
The honest truth.
(if your not comfortable doing so under your moniker, please use the anonymous comment tab)
I think I like this dress, but because its not the kind of thing I usually make, I'm a little out of my element with this one.

(you can click on each individual picture to see a larger view)

Its a really flowey dress, and a little bo-ho chic, which I am drawn to that style, I'm just not confident about it yet.
So please look at it and give me some feed back.
Thanks for your time and your thoughts.
And for the record, she loves it.

I love it! Totally cute. The only thing that I might change would be to make the ties not so long on the front...maybe??? I hesitate to be so brutally honest :)

I also love it! I had the same feelings about the ties but it is the only way to allow the dress to "grow" with SP so I am not sure what to do with that. Hmmm.

i actually kind of like the ties. if they seemed too long, could you do them in the back instead of the front???

Wow! I like the idea of the ties in the back! That would be kind of fun!

i love it - keep the ties the way they are - would be great in the fall with a shirt under it and you'd need extra room. love the birds on the fabric. how much?

I think around $45-55 direct from me. I'm going to make a few for jack & jill for $60, just because she takes a cut. It's a lot of fabric, so it costs more to make than a standard dress would. Does anyone have any thoughts on pricing?

You probably don't know me, but I go to Redeemer with you and came across your blog through Aimee. Anyway, I saw her in this dress yesterday as she came out of children's church and it made me smile. Very cute! She looked very comfortable in it. Nice job! My nieces would totally love a dress like this!
